Description: The Wisconsin’s Invasive Species Rule (ch. NR 40, Wis. Adm. Code) covers over 128 invasive species, including plants, animals, and microorganisms. The rule divides species into 2 categories, "Prohibited" and "Restricted,” with different regulations and control requirements. The majority of these species locations were discovered/verified long before the Oneida County AIS mapping program began. This dataset is a subset of the data provided, as we found some anomalies where points did not intersect the waterbody identified in the attributes, there were several points that indicated Oneida County but were in fact placed in adjoining counties. For more information regarding prohibited species contact the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. An attempt was made to accurately portray the data provided but errors and omissions may have accured in the processing and creation of the data.
